Satellite modems to support Army tactical network - News

TEMPE, Ariz. Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that during its second quarter of fiscal 2020 its subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., which is part of Comtech’s Commercial Solutions segment, received a $2.9 million order for satellite modems from a major U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) contractor.

CARLSBAD, Calif. Viasat Inc., communications company, announced it was awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, worth a maximum ceiling of $90 million, to provide the U.S. Air Force (USAF) with Viasat's Battlefield Awareness Targeting System — Dismounted (BATS-D) handheld Link 16 radios, also known as the AN/PRC-161 radio. The IDIQ award also covers associated operator training and maintenance.

Wind River acquires Star Lab, extending cybersecurity portfolio - News

ALAMEDA, Calif. Wind River, company specializing in delivering software for the intelligent edge, announced its acquisition of Star Lab, a cybersecurity for embedded systems company. The acquisition will provide Wind River with a system protection and anti-tamper toolset for Linux, a secure open source–based hypervisor, and a secure boot solution. Star Lab is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Wind River. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
