NUREMBERG, Germany. Engineers at SYSGO released the latest version of their PikeOS Real-Time-Operating System (RTOS) ? version 3.3 ? at the Embedded World show in Nuremberg, Germany today. The latest update enables SMP and Linux support toward multi-core architectures. It also has a new certifiable file system, performance improvements, certifiable IP stack, and other tool improvements.

British army Scout Specialist Vehicle program to run INTEGRITY RTOS from Green Hills Software - News

Officials at General Dynamics UK selected the INTEGRITY Real-Time-Operating-System (RTOS) from Green Hills Software in Santa Barbara, Calif., as the operating system software for all mission-critical computers within the Scout Specialist Vehicles (SV) program. Green Hills officials made the announcement at the Embedded World show this week in Nuremberg, Germany.

System synchronization and distribution devices for phased array radar applications released by Pentek - News

NUREMBERG, GERMANY. Engineers at Pentek in Upper Saddle River, N.J. announced two new high-speed system synchronization and distribution devices for phased array radar, direction finding, and beamforming antenna applications at Embedded World in Nuremberg, Germany. The Pentek Model 7192 PMC/XMC module and the Model 9192 rack-mount unit, respectively, will work with multiple Pentek Virtex-6-based Cobalt and Pentek Virtex-7-based Onyx modules at clock rates as fast as 1.8 GHz and sample rates up to 3.6 GHz.

Android-based rugged handheld computer announced by DRS Technologies - News

Engineers at the Tactical Systems division of DRS Technologies launched a new rugged handheld computer line, dubbed Scorpion, for use by U.S. warfighters to use in dismounted command and control operations. The Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) device runs the Android operating system and interfaces with warfighter tactical radios.

Officials at Northrop Grumman - Aerospace Systems tasked BAE Systems engineers to provide Electronic Support Measure (ESM) systems to be used on all 20 B-2 Spirit bombers. This electronic warfare upgrade will replace the current AN/APR-50 system.
