DUBLIN. The global electronic warfare (EW) market is projected to grow from $17.0 billion in 2020 to $20.9 billion by 2025, a combined annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.2%, according to a new market study from MarketsandMarkets, "The Electronic Warfare Market -- Global Forecast to 2025."

The study authors found that factors driving the market during the study period will include significant technological advancements and a shift toward multilayered defense systems brought about by increased integration of electronics in military equipment. Additional factors driving growth will be an increase in the use of unmanned systems and militaries' increased call for ground surveillance and communication jamming.

Broken down by product, the study predicts that the EW equipment segment will grow at a higher CAGR than the EW operational-support segment due to the expected increase in procurement of EW equipment to upgrade EW systems in naval vessels, land vehicles, and aircraft.
