SOLOMONS, Maryland. Officials at the Open Group and the consortia they manage - the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) and the Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) - are organizing the The Open Group FACE and SOSA Consortia Expo & TIM, to be held September 22, 2020 at the Holiday Inn Solomons Conference Center & Marina in Solomons, Maryland. FACE and SOSA Consortia Meetings will be held September will follow the expo at the same location from Sept. 23-25, 2020.

The event, sponsored by AdaCore, is a one-day technical exhibition and Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) that features expert keynotes and presenters from government, academia and industry, as well as exhibits, and demonstrations. More than 50 companies will demonstrate the latest FACE Certified and aligned products to the FACE Technical Standard, and products developed to align with the SOSA Technical Standard Snapshot at the event.

COVID-19 concerns

If COVID-19 is a threat to safety and travel at that time, then the Expo & TIM (Technical Interchange Meeting) presentations, as well as the Consortia Members-only meetings, will shift to being virtual. The final decision will be made with the safety and wellness of The Open Group partners, Members, sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees as the top priority.

Attendees will be a mix of government program managers and executives, branch and tech chiefs, engineers, Department of Defense (DoD) and acquisition communities, industry experts and influencers involved.
