HUNT VALLEY, Md. At the Annual Association of Old Crows (AOC) International Symposium and Convention, Textron Systems Electronic Systems officials announced the launch of its Reconfigurable Trainer, which offers a multi-domain simulation environment.

The trainer features the ability to create threat simulations in as few as two screen touches, officials say. It contains 200 internal equipment models that are developed for various applications that include crew simulators, virtual maintenance trainers, communications equipment trainers, manned-unmanned teaming trainers, and space command.

Officials say the visualization environment will be in early 2016 as part of the Advanced Architecture Phase Amplitude and Time Simulator (A2PATS). Engineers designed the system for multiple simulation and test requirements. It was built on a vertically integrated architecture.

The Reconfigurable Trainers comes complete with an intuitive 3-D visualization environment that is user friendly, says Senior Vice President and General Manager Steve Mensh.
