General Dynamics Bath Iron Works won a U.S. Navy contract to build an additional Arleigh Burke-class destroyer (DDG-51), bringing the total number of ships to be constructed under a multi-year procurement to five. This contract is valued at $642.5 million and the total contact is worth about $3.4 billion.

TEWKSBURY, MA. Raytheon won a $35.5 million contract to deliver AN/AQS-20A minehunting sonar systems and equipment to the U.S. Navy. The system will be deployed from the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), functioning as the variable depth sonar for the AN/WLD-1 Remote Minehunting System (RMS), where it will be towed undersea to scan the water in front, below, and to the sides of the vehicle to look for anti-shipping mines.

The latest update to the Soldier's Network has two-channel AN/PRC-155 Manpack tactical networking radios from General Dynamics added to the U.S. Army’s Capability Set (CS) 14, an integrated package of radios, software applications, satellite systems, smartphone-like devices, and other network parts. Organizations within the 101st Air Assault Division, Fort Campbell, KY, are scheduled to receive CS 14 units.
