Increasing numbers of military vehicle platforms feature a communications highway that joins information gathering with processing and display or communication. There is, however, a significant difference in bandwidth requirements for traditional technologies for data gathering and processing versus capturing, processing, and transmitting video. The latter is leading to a growing demand for higher-speed Ethernet.
