During a Missile Defense Agency flight test, engineers gathered data and observed in-flight performance on Raytheon’s Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV), which demonstrated the redesign of the EKV thrusters that provides the control necessary for lethal impact with incoming threats while safely outside of the Earth's atmosphere.

MCKINNEY, Texas. Raytheon won a $29.6 million Air Force upgrade contract to install MXF-626K VHF Communications Systems on 178 C-130H Hercules aircraft. This upgrade makes sure C-130 radios comply with newly adopted European Air Traffic Management requirements by enabling 8.33 kilohertz (kHz) channel spacing in the range of 118 to 137 megahertz (MHz).

During a missile test – conducted by the Missile Defense Agency – Raytheon’s Land-Based Standard Missile-3 Block IB used remote track data from AN/TPY-2 radar and destroyed an intermediate range ballistic missile target in space in a “launch-on-remote” engagement.
