CARLSBAD, Calif. Officials at Viasat Inc. announced the 1,000th KOR-24A Small Tactical Terminal (STT) production unit shipped with the latest one installed in the U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier II attack aircraft. In addition to shipping the 1,000th production unit, Viasat is steadily increasing production deliveries to 50 per month in response to growing market demand.

U.S. Air Force (USAF) officials selected Viasat Inc. for an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract worth up to $42 million for the purchase of supplemental units, maintenance, and support services for Viasat's AN/USQ-140(V) Multifunctional Information Distribution Systems (MIDS) Low Volume Terminals (LVT).

WASHINGTON. Viasat officials conducted a ViaSat-2 satellite communications (SATCOM) demonstration showing a number of cloud-based government applications. The demonstration - attended by U.S. Armed forces representatives - enabled over 100Mbps speeds on the ViaSat-2 satellite system. Viasat is now offering these capabilities to for government, defense, and military applications.

CARLSBAD, Calif. Communications provider Viasat Inc.has won an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract with the U.S. Special Operations Forces to provide advanced equipment, systems, services, and support to modernize the units' ground/air situational awareness; tactical data links; terrestrial networking; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); tactical satellite communications; information assurance; network management; and cybersecurity. The contract has an initial ceiling of $350 million.

DoD certifies ViaSat's IFF flight-environment generator - News

CARLSBAD, Calif. ViaSat announced that the Department of Defense (DoD) AIMS Program Office has certified its ViaSat Radio Frequency Generator 1000 (VRG-1000), a system that replicates a crowded airspace, enabling organizations to perform realistic Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF) testing. Designers can use the VRG-1000 to replicate a true-to-life lab environment in their work to reduce flight test time and overall flight testing costs.
