Canadian special forces combat vehicle contract won by Polaris Defense - News
December 20, 2016
MINNEAPOLIS. Officials at Public Works and Procurement Canada (PSPC) selected Polaris Defense for the Ultra-Light Combat Vehicle (ULCV) contract worth an estimated $15.5 million. The contract includes DAGOR vehicles, maintenance and operator training, spare parts, and the option for additional vehicles to meet the requirements of Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM).

VPT Rad receives commercial Laboratory Suitability from DLA - News

CHELMSFORD, MA. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) officials granted commercial Laboratory Suitability to VPT Rad's MIL-STD-750 Test Method 1080 for Single Event Effects (SEE), therefore expanding their current portfolio with DLA suitability status . DLA also completed an audit on the company's Quality Assurance program, covering VPT Rad?s suite of DLA-approved irradiation test services.

Navy Research Laboratory grants license agreement for commercial applications - News

George Mason University (GMU), U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Technology Transfer Office, and NRL Computational Multiphysics Systems Laboratory (CMSL) representatives signed a licensing agreement for the commercialization of NRL-developed strain imaging technologies. The agreement grants Point Semantics Corp. rights to develop the technology for industrial and laboratory uses and to market across the globe.

SEATTLE. NATO representatives received the first of fourteen cockpit upgrades for the E-3A Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft from Boeing. Upgrades include five full-color glass displays, which provide crewmembers with customizable engine, navigation, and radar data to improve mission execution.

NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, PATUXENT RIVER, Md. Officials at the Naval Aviation Training Systems Program Office (PMA-205) selected Logistic Services International Inc. of Jacksonville, Florida, to provide eight Deployable Mission Rehearsal Trainers (DMRTs) under a procurement contract valued an estimated $8.4 million. The transportable AV-8B cockpit simulation trainers include radar operation; hand-on-throttle-and-stick operation; heads up and multi-color display; and control monitor set functionality.
