FULLERTON, California. Latvian armed forces officials are procuring four improved Sentinel AN/MPQ-64 F1 air defense radars from ThalesRaytheonSystems. The Sentinel systems will complement Latvia's existing defense network by detecting, identifying, and tracking airborne threats such as cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and fixed and rotary wing aircraft.

U.S. Air Force officials selected Boeing as the prime contractor to upgrade existing F-15 aircrafts with the Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS) and in a subcontract BAE Systems will develop and manufacture EPAWSS for Boeing. The initial prime contract’s estimated value is $4 billion.
