PORTON DOWN, Wiltshire. Qinetiq won a contract from the UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory to better protect the British Army's land armored vehicles from using drones and other weapons, the company announced in a statement.

PORTSMOUTH NAVAL BASE, Portsmouth, U.K. A team made up of personnel from QinetiQ, Inzpire, and BAE Systems delivered a demonstration under Phase 2 of the Platform Enabled Training Capability (PETC) to the U.K. royal navy, under which the team connected simultaneously into three platforms docked at the naval base via satellite communications and enabled the crews of the ships to conduct realistic training against a peer adversary. 

LONDON, United Kingdom. An RJ100 aircraft that was equipped with the combat aircraft nose system known as the fast jet radome underwent a successful flight test through QinetiQ’s Airborne Technology Demonstrator (ATD) in alliance with BAE Systems, Qinetiq announced in a statement.

LONDON, United Kingdom. QinetiQ will again assist in the execution of the live-fire integrated air and missile defence exercise Formidable Shield (FS), the company announced in a statement. This exercise is organized by the U.S. Sixth Fleet and NATO's Naval Striking and Support Forces (STRIKFORNATO), and will take place in MOD Hebrides, Scotland, after the first portion of the exercise was conducted Andoya, Norway.

FARNBOROUGH, United Kingdom. QinetiQ will provide support for uncrewed systems and digital engineering for the United Kingdom's Future Combat Air System (FCAS) program that will replace Typhon fighter aircraft starting in the mid-2030s, the company announced in a statement.

FARNBOROUGH, U.K. Defense-technology company Qinetiq demonstrated what it says is the world's first successful demonstration of an airborne uncrewed platform (or unmanned aerial system -- UAS) that was controlled by way of a laser communication system. 

UNITED KINGDOM. QinetiQ has entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with automotive manufacturer AM General to accelerate the development of electrification technologies for military vehicles.
