Lockheed Martin selects Textron Systems' A2PATS for F-35 EW simulation testing - News

HUNT VALLEY, Md. Lockheed Martin selected Textron Systems' Advanced Architecture Phase Amplitude and Time Simulator (A2PATS) for simulation testing of the F-35 Lightning II electronic warfare (EW) systems. Under contract, Textron Systems engineers will provide threat simulation capability in the F-35 Norwegian, Italian Reprogramming Lab (NIRL) located at Eglin Air Force base, in support of international partners.

Nano-drone company Prox Dynamics bought by FLIR - News

WILSONVILLE, Oregon. FLIR Systems, Inc. officials announced today that the company has bought Prox Dynamics AS of Oslo Norway, a developer and manufacturer of nano-class unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for about $134 million in cash. The Prox Dynamics business will become FLIR's Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) line of business operating within the company's Surveillance segment.

It's been less than a year since Abaco left the GE umbrella when they were acquired by Veritas Capital out of New York City, but they have already started growing through acquisition with two embedded computing additions in the last month, acquiring 4DSP LLC of Austin, Texas as well as acquiring the Micro Mezzanine System (MMS) product line from Technobox in West Berlin, N.J.

The U.S. Navy has awarded BAE Systems an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to perform post-construction work aboard the guided-missile destroyers USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) and USS Michael Monsoor (DDG 1001). The contract's initial award is worth $10.3 million and carries a maximum value of $192.7 million for work performed through September 2021.
