STRATFORD, Connecticut. Lockheed Martin subsidiary Sikorsky has delivered the third low-rate initial production (LRIP) CH-53K heavy-lift helicopter to the Marine Corps, the company announced in a statement.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Collins Aerospace's Perigon flight-control computer will be a part of the Lockheed Martin Sikorsky-Boeing DEFIANT X advanced utility helicopter, a finalist for the U.S. Army’s Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) competition.

The aircraft, named DEFIANT X, will aim to revolutionize the way the Army meets threats in 2035 and beyond.

STRATFORD, Conn. Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, announced it will build six additional production CH-53K King Stallion helicopters under a new contract for the U.S. Navy. The additional aircraft are intended to further support the U.S. Marine Corps in its mission to conduct expeditionary heavy-lift assault transport of armored vehicles, equipment, and personnel to support distributed operations deep inland from a sea-based center of operations.
