SPAIN. Indra and Thales, two defense technology companies, have signed an agreement to work in partnership to offer a next-generation tactical communications system to Spain’s Armed Forces. The new communications system will aim to enhance interoperability during international missions, and ensure Spain’s full sovereignty and technical autonomy over strategic military communications.

FRANCE, UNITED KINGDOM. Thales has won a joint contract to start the production phase of the Maritime Mine Counter Measures (MMCM) to deliver eight unmanned mine hunting systems to France and the U.K..

GRAND FORKS, N.D. Thales has completed the preliminary design review for the key site implementation of Vantis, the statewide unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) network, for beyond-visial-line-of-sight (BVLOS) operations in western North Dakota.

LA DEFENSE, PARIS. The Thales Group, in conjunction with Leonardo (Rome, Italy) will equip Poland's naval helicopters with four FLASH (Folding Light Acoustic System for Helicopters) sonic systems, a dipping sonar that has antisubmarine warfare capability.

FRANCE. Thales introduced Cybels Analytics, a cybersecurity platform relying on artificial intelligence (AI) and Big Data analytics technologies. The platform is designed to detect cyber attacks in real time or in differed time (hunting). It operates as a single platform that allows individual users to adapt the AI algorithms to the specific operational context of each sector.
