SAN DIEGO. Officials at Cubic Corp. have signed a definitive agreement to acquire GATR Technologies, Inc. (GATR) and announced the acquisition of TeraLogics, LLC. The purchase price for TeraLogics is $39 million, including $9 million of contingent consideration, and subject to other customary adjustments per the terms of the stock purchase agreement. GATR’s purchase price is $232.5 million, including $7.5 million of contingent consideration, and subject to customary pre- and post-close adjustments.

MELBOURNE, Fla. U.S. Naval Research Laboratory officials tasked Harris to provide electronic warfare (EW) technology and engineering services for the Advanced Decoy Architecture Project (ADAP). The three-year, single-award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract is worth an estimated $54 million.

CHELMSFORD, Mass. Lewis Innovative Technologies, Inc. (LIT) has been acquired by Mercury Systems. The transaction terms have not been disclosed, but the acquisition is not expected to have a material impact on Mercury’s financial results for the second quarter or full fiscal year 2016, according to Mercury officials.

NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, PATUXENT RIVER, Md. U.S. Navy officials at the Avionics Component Improvement Program (AvCIP) will award more than $10 million in funds for 2017 projects. NAVAIR’s Air Combat Electronics Program Office (PMA-209) officials will manage the proposal process for the Office of Naval Operations (OPNAV). Nominations forms are due January 29 and projects will be selected by the end of May and can start executing as soon as October.

C-130 radios to get upgrades from Raytheon - News

MCKINNEY, Texas. Raytheon won a $29.6 million Air Force upgrade contract to install MXF-626K VHF Communications Systems on 178 C-130H Hercules aircraft. This upgrade makes sure C-130 radios comply with newly adopted European Air Traffic Management requirements by enabling 8.33 kilohertz (kHz) channel spacing in the range of 118 to 137 megahertz (MHz).
