USAF signs $131 million contract for additional laser guided bomb kits - News

ARCHBALD, Pa. Lockheed Martin has signed a $131 million contract with the U.S. Air Force for follow-on production of Paveway II Plus Laser Guided Bomb (LGB) kits. The most recent contract represents the ninth consecutive year in which the U.S. Air Force selected Lockheed Martin to provide most of the LGB kits in the annual competition.

Digital-solutions company Black Box Corp. has inked a $4.8 million contract with the Marine Corps Systems Command Network Communications Infrastructure (NCI) Program Office to modernize its existing telecommunication network architecture and systems to a high-availability unified communications solution at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point in North Carolina. The work will result in the first fully converged IP-based network for the Marine Corps.
