Officials at Northrop Grumman subsidiary Remotec Inc. and leaders at AirRobot US have joined hands in a distribution agreement for AirRobot's line of small unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The joint platform combines SYSGO’s DO-178B/C certified hypervisor PikeOS with Curtiss-Wright’s VPX3-1701 Freescale LS1020A dual ARM Cortex-A7 processor-based single board computer (SBC) in an avionics solution.

NXP buys Freescale, maker of PowerPC technology - News

Officials at NXP Semiconductors N.V. and Freescale Semiconductor, Ltd. announced that the two companies have signed a definitive agreement that will have NXP merge with Freescale in a transaction valued at just over $40 billion. Freescale's PowerPC chips fuel computing and signal processing in many defense electronics applications such as avionics, radar, and electronic warfare.
