CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. Collins Aerospace will be the Mission System solutions provider for the next phase of the U.S. Army Air Launched Effects (ALE) small program for Army Aviation’s Enduring and Future Vertical Lift (FVL) fleet.

WILSONVILLE, Oregon.  The new Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) from Collins Aerospace is now being installed on Boeing 737 aircraft. The new EFVS includes the Collins’ EVS-3600, a multi-spectral imaging sensor to that enables pilots to “see through” poor visibility and darkness better than the human eye. 

U.S. ARMY -- DUGWAY PROVING GROUND, Utah. Collins Aerospace recently demonstrated a unified network that the company says achieved the range and scale required to support the Army modernization and JADC2 [Joint All Domain Command and Control] initiatives for joint and coalition forces. The demonstration was conducted as part of the recent Experimental Demonstration Gateway Exercise 2022 (EDGE 22). 

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. Collins Aerospace has won a second low-rate production order -- valued at $24 million -- for its Tactical Combat Training System – Increment II (TCTS II) Air Combat Training System from the U.S. Navy. 

Military helicopter avionics upgrades like those for Future Vertical Lift platforms make data and modular-agnostic hardware a priority for defense electronics manufacturers. As systems and electronics evolve, many of these advances will have to comply with open architecture standards like the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) and must leverage a modular open systems approach (MOSA) to ease cost and time-to-market pressure.
