PORTSMOUTH, R.I. Raytheon (an RTX business), conducted a series of controlled environmental tests of the Barracuda Mine Neutralization System -- a semi-autonomous system that uses sonar and cameras to locate and neutralize undersea mine threats -- at the U.S. Navy's Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division.

MCKINNEY, Texas. Raytheon won a $192 million contract from the U.S. Navy to develop the Next Generation Jammer Mid-Band Expansion (NGJ-MBX), the company announced in a statement.

TUCSON, Ariz. Raytheon (an RTX business) announced that it won a $525 million contract from the U.S. Navy to produce ESSM Block 2 missiles and spares -- a short- to medium-range ship-launched, dual-mode, guided missile -- for the U.S. and its allies.  

HONOLULU, Hawaii. Raytheon showcased the long-range target detection capabilities of its SeaVue Multi-role Radar (SVMR) during the U.S. Navy's Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC), the company announced in a statement.

ANDOVER, Mass.  Raytheon won a contract worth $478 million contract from the NATO Support and Procurement Agency [NSPA] to supply additional GEM-T missiles (Guidance Enhanced Missile, the Patriot Advanced Capability 2 [PAC-2] missile interceptor enhanced for defeating tactical ballistic missiles) to Germany; the contract supports the replenishment of Patriot missiles donated by Germany to Ukraine. 

MCKINNEY, Texas. Raytheon reports that it won two strategic Mentor-Protégé Agreement initiatives from the Department of the Navy Office of Small Business Programs aimed at supporting the development of operational artificial intelligence (AI) for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) platforms and programs.

ARLINGTON, Va. Raytheon announced that it ran 28 tests of its StormBreaker smart weapon in 2023, including a 100% success rate on 14 of 14 planned jettisons from the F-35C; the additional 14 tests throughout the year included employment from the F/A-18E/F, F-15E, and F-35B across the U.S. Navy, Marines, and Air Force.
