ARLINGTON, Va. Raytheon announced that it ran 28 tests of its StormBreaker smart weapon in 2023, including a 100% success rate on 14 of 14 planned jettisons from the F-35C; the additional 14 tests throughout the year included employment from the F/A-18E/F, F-15E, and F-35B across the U.S. Navy, Marines, and Air Force.

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii. Raytheon reports that it demonstrated -- during the recent Valiant Shield 24 exercises in the Pacific -- a simulated complex missile engagement using the U.S. Army's Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) and Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS), launching the U.S. Navy's long-range effector, Standard Missile-6 (SM-6).

ARLINGTON, Va. Raytheon won a contract from the U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC) Futures and Concepts Center (FCC) to trial the use of its RCADE [Rapid Campaign Analysis and Demonstration Environment] tool, which aims to conduct sophisticated, timely theater-level concept experimentation and mission analysis for the connected battlefield.

ARLINGTON, Virginia. CAES won a $172.7 million contract from Raytheon Technologies (RTX) for the follow-on production of missile data-link assemblies in support of a major international missile program, CAES announced in a statement.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Collins Aerospace (an RTX business) has been granted certification approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for upgrading the avionics in the Cessna Citation CJ1+/2+ aircraft registered in Europe.  

ATLANTA, Georgia. Hermeus will conduct its first flight of the uncrewed hypersonic Quarterhorse Mk 1 later this year at Edwards Air Force Base, the company announced in a statement.

TUCSON, Ariz. Raytheon (an RTX business) won a contract worth $1.2 billion contract to deliver Patriot air and missile-defense systems to Germany. The new systems will provide additional Patriot equipment for Germany's existing air defense infrastructure.
