CHICAGO. Wireless communications provider Silvus Technologies announced the launch of the StreamCaster MINI 5200 (SM5200), what the company calls its smallest, fully-featured mobile ad hoc network (MANET) radio that is designed to equip ground forces with next-generation mesh networking to securely share voice, video, and data without the need to set up dedicated infrastructure.

CHICAGO. Silvus Technologies (a Motorola solutions company) announced that the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) added the Silvus StreamCaster 4400 Enhanced (SC4400E) mobile ad hoc network (MANET) radio to its Blue UAS Framework, a rigorous testing and certification program that approves technologies for use in U.S. military unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operations. 

AUSA Annual Meeting & Expositon. Citing human factors feedback from operators, engineers at Silvus Technologies developed the StreamCaster NEXUS system, a light-weight, chest-mounted tactical networking solution for enhanced mobility and connectivity for dismounted toops. The systems was demosntrated at the Silvus booth, #3645,, this week at the AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition in Washington. 

LOS ANGELES, Calif. Wireless-networking company Silvus Technologies announced the launch of its Spectrum Dominance 2.0 tool, which it calls the "next evolution" of its electronic warfare (EW)-resilient communications capabilities.

CHICAGO. Motorola Solutions announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Silvus Technologies, Inc. -- a Los Angeles-based provider of mission-critical mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) -- for $4.4 billion in up-front consideration.  

This week’s product, the Silvus StreamCaster Lite 5200 MANET radio, delivers the performance of StreamCaster MANET radios in an ultra-low size, weight, and power (SWaP) footprint. The SL5200 combines command and control (C2), sensor, and telemetry data with communications-relay capabilities – enabling seamless integration into a range of tactical applications such as unmanned systems.
