MCLEAN, Va. Communications company SpaceLink has signed a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command Technical Center (USASMDC-TC -- Redstone Arsenal, Alabama) under which the partners will cooperate to explore alternative space communications pathways to ensure resiliency and reduce sensor-to-shooter latency. 

U.S. ARMY -- DUGWAY PROVING GROUND, Utah. Collins Aerospace recently demonstrated a unified network that the company says achieved the range and scale required to support the Army modernization and JADC2 [Joint All Domain Command and Control] initiatives for joint and coalition forces. The demonstration was conducted as part of the recent Experimental Demonstration Gateway Exercise 2022 (EDGE 22). 

ARLINGTON, Va. Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S -- a business unit of Raytheon Technologies) reports that it has conducted successful demonstrations of a next-generation, transportable, beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) troposcatter communications system for the U.S. Army that showed high bandwidth, high stability communication links.  

HERNDON, Va.  IT contractor Compass Point -- a subsidiary of Akima -- has won a spot on a contract with the U.S. Army to provide program support to the Cyber Capability Development Integration Directorate (CDID) at Fort Gordon, Georgia.

Military rotorcraft maker Bell Textron has signed a teaming agreement with Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) that will add SNC to the Bell Textron team that is working on the Bell 360 Invictus competitive prototype as part of the U.S. Army’s Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program.
