HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. Lt. Gen. Shaun Q. EUROPE. Leonardo announced that it has signed contracts with HENSOLDT which will see the company playing a role in the development and delivery of the Eurofighter Typhoon’s European Common Radar System Mk1 (ECRS Mk1) E-scan radar, ordered by Germany and Spain.

ITALY. The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) awarded the European robotics and autonomous systems (RAS) developer and system integrator Milrem Robotics a contract to provide RAS Concept Development and Experimentation (CD&E) Services to the Italian Army.

HUNGARY. The Hungarian Government Commissioner Office responsible for defense development and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) have completed the negotiations for the MS20 Block 2 capability upgrade to the Hungarian fleet of Gripen fighter aircraft. Saab will deliver the upgrade.

GERMANY. HENSOLDT announced that the company is equipping the German-Norwegian submarine project U212 CD with a fully digital sensor suite. The optronics division of HENSOLDT has now received a corresponding order from kta naval systems, a consortium of Kongsberg, ThyssenKrupp Marine Systeme, and Atlas Elektronik.
