The U.S. Army awarded General Dynamics Mission Systems a contract to support upgrades to their Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) waveform that is used in the Army's AN/PRC-155 two-channel MUOS-Manpack radios. The waveform is the digital 'dial-tone' necessary for connecting with the U.S. Navy's new MUOS satellite communications network that will enable U.S. military and government personnel to have smartphone-like voice clarity and data connectivity.
