Remote GPS receiver from Rockwell Collins works with commercial smartphones and military mobile devices - News

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. Engineers at Rockwell Collins have designed a GPS receiver that can plug and play with commercial and military mobile devices -- the Remote Secure Receiver (RSR). Battlefield Airmen Office of the Air Force Special Operations Command officials recently ordered the RSR, which has a small, low=power military Selected Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) GPS solution.

Engineers at L-3 Maritime Systems are using the rugged Sensor Interface Unit (SIU35) from North Atlantic Industries (NAI) for the the U.S. Navy’s Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) program's data acquisition unit system. The SSC is the follow on to the Navy’sLanding Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) vehicle, which is nearing the end of its run.

ARLINGTON, Va. DRS Technologies Inc. won access to an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to produce and deliver as many as 180 Joint Tactical Terminal-Receivers (JTT-R) electronic warfare missions for U.S. Navy and Australian EA-18G, aircraft. The JTT-R is an ultra-high-frequency receiver that delivers near real-time, over the horizon threat data for situational awareness and assessment, targeting, mission planning, threat avoidance, and communications.
