TEWKSBURY, MA. Officials at the Office of Naval Research (ONR) tasked Raytheon to further develop an Enterprise Air Surveillance Radar (EASR). The company's EASR concept uses existing Radar Modular Assembly (RMA) architecture that has been proven on Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR) platforms. EASR will be able to meet the performance needs of various candidate ship classes for ship situational awareness, self-defense, air traffic control, and weather monitoring.

BETHESDA, MD. Lockheed Martin officials announced they have a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Astrotech Corp's Astrotech Space Operations business unit in Titusville, FL. The organization provides satellite launch preparation services, from final testing and fueling through to encapsulation and day-of launch operations. Once the deal is closed, Astrotech Space Operations will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin under it's Space Systems business area.
