Geospatial analytics company Descartes Labs has won a U.S. Air Force Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Direct to Phase II contract through AFWERX and the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Space Vehicles Directorate and Information Directorate that will provide the Descartes Labs Platform to enable the Air Force to conduct optimized data discovery of collected sensor data and the automation of multimodal analytical processes through machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).

HAIFA, Israel. Elbit Systems will supply more than 1,000 additional E-LynX software-defined radio (SDR) systems to Sweden's army, in an expansion of Elbit's involvement in Sweden’s tactical radio upgrade program.

FALLS CHURCH, Va. Northrop Grumman reports that it and partner Ball Aerospace (Boulder, Colorado) have successfully completed the preliminary design review (PDR) for the Next-Generation Overhead Persistent Infrared (Next Gen OPIR) Geosynchronous (GEO) Block 0 mission payload for the U.S. Air Force.

LIVERPOOL, N.Y. Lockheed Martin has won a firm-fixed-price order from the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) -- worth $22.43 million -- to acquire and retrofit 12 advanced radar-processor systems for the Navy's E-2D Advanced Hawkeye airborne early-warning and control aircraft. 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Collins Aerospace Systems (a unit of Raytheon Technologies) has won a contract with the U.S. government to further develop and build digital night-vision systems for U.S. Navy and Marine Corps rotary-wing and tiltrotor aircrews, the first of its kind, that will enable advanced night vision and display technology and help increase flight safety and mission effectiveness. 

MCLEAN, Va. Alion Science and Technology has won a contract worth $59 million to support the enhancement of computer-based weapons systems for the U.S. Navy Warfare Development Command (NWDC).
