Heavy cargo drones to be equipped with transponders and DAA system - News

WHITE SALMON, Wash. Sagetech Avionics, an aerospace technology company providing situational awareness solutions for unmanned aerial systems (UAS), and Pen Aviation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to integrate Sagetech Avionics' MXS transponders and Detect and Avoid (DAA) systems into the PEN 55V midsize drone and the PEN 1360V heavy cargo drone.

Airborne anti-submarine warfare sonars to be delivered to four navies - News

FRANCE. Thales has signed a contract with Lockheed Martin as a tier-one supplier for the delivery of up to 55 airborne anti-submarine warfare sonars. The Airborne Low Frequency Sonar (ALFS) dipping sonars will be installed on the MH-60R platform for the U.S. Navy and three additional navies. Delivery of the first 42 systems will occur over the next five years with a delivery of 13 optional systems to occur in year six.

GERMANY. Sensor systems supplier HENSOLDT has won a contract in the frame of ‘Quadriga’ procurement program of 38 Eurofighter/Typhoon combat aircraft by the German Air Force. The contract placed by Airbus Defense and Space comprises production and delivery of radar systems and core electronics components which will be produced at HENSOLDT’s site in Ulm and at consortium partner Indra’s site in Spain.
