MIAMI, Fla. UAV Turbines, Inc. (UAVT), microturbine technology company, announced that its Monarch 5 turboshaft engine can now run on natural gas, signifying possible fuel flexibility. Previously shown to run on all types of heavy fuels including jet fuel, the addition of natural gas could extend this technology beyond flight and into ground emergency and standby power generation for both onsite and remote application areas.

FLIR sensors to equip U.S. Army vehicles - News

TUCSON, Ariz. Raytheon Company has developed, manufactured, and delivered the 3rd GEN Forward-Looking Infrared (FLIR) sensor system under a U.S. Army contract awarded in 2016. FLIR system is designed to give soldiers four fields of view and the ability to see across long- and mid-wave IR bands simultaneously with a stabilized line of sight.

ANDOVER, Mass. Raytheon Company completed the first round of testing of the first partially populated radar antenna array for the U.S. Army's Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS). The milestone comes less than five months after the U.S. Army selected Raytheon to build LTAMDS, a next-generation radar designed to defeat advanced threats like hypersonic weapons.
