L3Harris Technologies has won option year four of the Maintenance Of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) program, a $145 million contract from the U.S. Space Force, according to a company statement. The contract aims to continue modernizing and sustaining critical space infrastructure that enables Space Domain Awareness (SDA).

GERMANTOWN, Maryland. Hughes Network Systems has announced the availability of its Smart Network Edge software for defense network operations, according to a company statement. HawkEye 360's Cluster 7 satellites recently were launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California during the Transporter-7 mission and deployed into space, and the company's operation team has established communication with the radio frequency-sensing satellites, HawkEye 360 announced in a statement.

U.S. ARMY ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND FACILITY, Md. The U.S. Army has awarded a contract worth as much as $402.5 million to TRX Systems (Greenbelt, Maryland) to deliver handheld positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) tools that enable troops to obtain information in GPS-denied environments.

DUBLIN, Ireland. The global small satellite market will more than double between 2022 and 2028, increasing from $3.2 billion to $7 billion over that period for a compound annual growth rate of 16.8%, a new report predicts.

LONDON, United Kingdom. The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) has allocated more than £650 million to further the development of the next-generation fighter jet as part of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), according to an MOD statement.
