CARLSBAD, California. Viasat has won a $900 million contract from the U.S. Air Force's Life Cycle Management Center (USAF LCMC) for the development of new technologies and capabilities, the company announced in a statement.

ARLINGTON, Va. The U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) DARPA named three industry partners for its Underexplored Systems for Utility-Scale Quantum Computing (US2QC) program, which seeks to determine whether an underexplored approach to quantum computing can achieve utility-scale operation – in other words, that its computational value exceeds its cost – faster than conventional predictions.   

NASA--KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla.  The U.S. Space Force successfully launched the X-37B orbital test vehicle (OTV), an autonomous spaceplane, into orbit aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket, marking the start of the OTV's seventh mission.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, California. Boeing has delivered the first Orca Extra Large Uncrewed Undersea Vehicle (XLUUV) to the U.S. Navy, following the completion of acceptance testing earlier this month, the company announced in a statement.

HELSINGBORG, Sweden. Rugged IT provider MilDef reports that Swedish mission-critical network-security firm Clavister ordered MilDef's hardware as part of a contract valued at 97 million SEK ($9.6 million).

OTTAWA, Ontario. General Dynamics Mission Systems--Canada won four contracts cumulatively valued at up to $1.68 billion Canadian ($1.3 billion) with the government of Canada to support the land command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) system for the Canadian army.
