Raytheon Technologies has won a $237 million U.S. Army contract for Ku-band Radio Frequency Sensors (KuRFS) and Coyote effectors to detect and defeat unmanned aircraft, according to a company statement. These systems are part of the U.S. Army's Low, Slow, Small-Unmanned Aircraft Integrated Defeat System (LIDS).

EVENDALE, Ohio. GE Aerospace has signed an agreement with Lockheed Martin to provide global support for avionics and electrical power systems on the F-35, according to a company statement. The deal aims to ensure the aircraft's reliability and mission readiness as the F-35 fleet continues to expand.

L3Harris Technologies has won option year four of the Maintenance Of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) program, a $145 million contract from the U.S. Space Force, according to a company statement. Leidos has been awarded a contract to develop an autonomous uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) for resupplying forward-deployed ground forces for the United States Marine Corps, according to a company statement. The firm-fixed-price, multiple-award contract has an 18-month period of performance, during which Leidos will build a single prototype.

MELVILLE, New York. Comtech has won multiple orders for "significant" quantities of its CDM-780 high-speed software-defined modems that are aimed at providing high-speed connectivity to remote areas worldwide, the company announced in a statement.

HAIFA, Israel.  Elbit Systems has won a $100 million contract to convert commercial aircraft into intelligence and electronic warfare (EW) aircraft for an unidentified international customer, the company announced in a statement.

HERNDON, Virginia. HawkEye 360's Cluster 7 satellites recently were launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California during the Transporter-7 mission and deployed into space, and the company's operation team has established communication with the radio frequency-sensing satellites, HawkEye 360 announced in a statement.

U.S. ARMY ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND FACILITY, Md. The U.S. Army has awarded a contract worth as much as $402.5 million to TRX Systems (Greenbelt, Maryland) to deliver handheld positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) tools that enable troops to obtain information in GPS-denied environments.

DUBLIN, Ireland. The global small satellite market will more than double between 2022 and 2028, increasing from $3.2 billion to $7 billion over that period for a compound annual growth rate of 16.8%, a new report predicts.

LONDON, United Kingdom. The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) has allocated more than £650 million to further the development of the next-generation fighter jet as part of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), according to an MOD statement. This initiative is a trilateral collaboration with Japan and Italy, which aims to have the aircraft in service by 2035 to maintain the UK Armed Forces' advantage over adversaries.

Satellite communications company SatixFy Communications and semiconductor engineering and production company Presto Engineering announced a strategic partnership under which Presto Engineering will provide SatixFy with testing and qualification of Presto's radiation-hardened (rad-hard) ASICs [application-specific integrated circuits] for deployment in space, plus automated test solution and long-term production services for SatixFy's high-speed, mixed-signal ASIC products.

LAFAYETTE, Colo. Blue Canyon Technologies --a subsidiary of Raytheon Technologies that manufactures small satellites and provides mission services -- has been tapped to design and manufacture three microsatellites to support NASA’s Investigation of Convective Updrafts (INCUS) mission.
