U.S. NAVAL UNDERSEA WARFARE CENTER, Newport, R.I. The U.S. Navy's Naval Undersea Warfare Center has awarded Saab the initial production order for the company's Expendable Mobile Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Target (EMATT), a small (under 25 pounds) sonobuoy-sized device programmed for various antisubmarine warfare training scenarios that can be used with naval surface ships, submarines, and aircraft. 

AUSTIN, Tx. Quantic X-Microwave, a business unit of Quantic Electronics, announced that it had signed a multimillion-dollar contract with a leading U.S. defense contractor for the the delivery of 3U OpenVPX card assemblies to be used in a major airborne electronic warfare (EW) application.

RESTON, Virginia. Peraton has been chosen by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to support and maintain the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Common Ground Services, according to a company statement. The contract, awarded by the National Environmental Satellite and Data Information Service (NESDIS), is worth up to $399.3 million over eight years.

MELBOURNE, Florida. Tomahawk Robotics has won a $55 million full-rate production contract for the Flexible Cyber Secure Radio (FlexCSR) program from the U.S. Navy, according to a company statement. The contract includes a base year award of $28.4 million and four additional years for production, post-production support, and engineering services for the FlexCSR system.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden. Ovzon has won a $4.8 million contract to provide three months of integrated satellite communications-as-a-Service to a European customer, according to a company statement. The deal also includes Ovzon On-The-Move (OTM) terminals.
