MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. Aircraft-safety firm Reliable Robotics teamed with NASA to run flight tests aimed at substantiating the use of existing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) primary surveillance radar (PSR) data to improve the safety of the National Airspace System (NAS), which the testers needed to better understand how existing radar infrastructure can be used for detect-and-avoid (DAA) systems for uncrewed aircraft systems (UASs).

LONDON, England. BAE Systems has received a prototype of the European Common Radar System Mk2 (ECRS Mk2) from Leonardo for integration and testing with the UK Typhoon fleet, according to a company statement.

U.S. NAVAL UNDERSEA WARFARE CENTER, Newport, R.I. The U.S. Navy's Naval Undersea Warfare Center has awarded Saab the initial production order for the company's Expendable Mobile Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Target (EMATT), a small (under 25 pounds) sonobuoy-sized device programmed for various antisubmarine warfare training scenarios that can be used with naval surface ships, submarines, and aircraft. 

AUSTIN, Tx. Quantic X-Microwave, a business unit of Quantic Electronics, announced that it had signed a multimillion-dollar contract with a leading U.S. defense contractor for the the delivery of 3U OpenVPX card assemblies to be used in a major airborne electronic warfare (EW) application.

RESTON, Virginia. Peraton has been chosen by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to support and maintain the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Common Ground Services, according to a company statement. The contract, awarded by the National Environmental Satellite and Data Information Service (NESDIS), is worth up to $399.3 million over eight years.

MELBOURNE, Florida. Tomahawk Robotics has won a $55 million full-rate production contract for the Flexible Cyber Secure Radio (FlexCSR) program from the U.S. Navy, according to a company statement. The contract includes a base year award of $28.4 million and four additional years for production, post-production support, and engineering services for the FlexCSR system.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden. Ovzon has won a $4.8 million contract to provide three months of integrated satellite communications-as-a-Service to a European customer, according to a company statement. The deal also includes Ovzon On-The-Move (OTM) terminals.

TUCSON, Arizona. Raytheon Technologies has won a $237 million U.S. Army contract for Ku-band Radio Frequency Sensors (KuRFS) and Coyote effectors to detect and defeat unmanned aircraft, according to a company statement. These systems are part of the U.S. Army's Low, Slow, Small-Unmanned Aircraft Integrated Defeat System (LIDS).

EVENDALE, Ohio. GE Aerospace has signed an agreement with Lockheed Martin to provide global support for avionics and electrical power systems on the F-35, according to a company statement. The deal aims to ensure the aircraft's reliability and mission readiness as the F-35 fleet continues to expand.

MELBOURNE, Florida. L3Harris Technologies has won option year four of the Maintenance Of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) program, a $145 million contract from the U.S. Space Force, according to a company statement. The contract aims to continue modernizing and sustaining critical space infrastructure that enables Space Domain Awareness (SDA).

GERMANTOWN, Maryland. Hughes Network Systems has announced the availability of its Smart Network Edge software for defense network operations, according to a company statement. The software serves as a virtualized SD-WAN router, enabling network interoperability across carriers and vendors, and the company says it meets U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security criteria.

SAN DIEGO, California. Cubic Defence UK has won a contract extension to continue supporting and repairing the Area Weapons Effects Simulator (AWES) system for the British Army, according to a company statement. The contract covers support at the Salisbury Plain Training Area (SPTA) in the United Kingdom and select overseas deployments as needed.

RESTON, Virginia. Leidos has been awarded a contract to develop an autonomous uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) for resupplying forward-deployed ground forces for the United States Marine Corps, according to a company statement. The firm-fixed-price, multiple-award contract has an 18-month period of performance, during which Leidos will build a single prototype.

MELVILLE, New York. Comtech has won multiple orders for "significant" quantities of its CDM-780 high-speed software-defined modems that are aimed at providing high-speed connectivity to remote areas worldwide, the company announced in a statement.

HAIFA, Israel.  Elbit Systems has won a $100 million contract to convert commercial aircraft into intelligence and electronic warfare (EW) aircraft for an unidentified international customer, the company announced in a statement.
