Space safety and security firm LeoLabs announced it received a second Consolidated Pathfinder order from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office of Space Commerce (OSC) to continue work on the development of the civil-led, U.S. Traffic Coordination System for Space (TraCSS).

FALLS CHURCH, Va. General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) won a recompete task order worth $185 million to provide cybersecurity services for the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) worldwide.

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands. The Dutch Navy chose High Eye's Airboxer vertical take-off and landing uncrewed aerial system (VTOL UAV) for deployment in maritime operations, the company announced in a statement.

SYRACUSE, NY. Technology and engineering company SRC Inc. has been tapped to supply the Polish military with 15 more of the SRC SR Hawk surveillance radar systems for installation aboard Poland's BWR-1D/S Reconnaissance Fighting Vehicles.  

KIRKLAND, Wash. Radar platform provider Echodyne announced that its EchoFlight radar is integrated into the American Aerospace Technologies, Inc. (AATI) AiRanger aircraft, which recently obtained a waiver from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) last week for commercial beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) flight operations, which enables AATI to use the onboard detect-and-avoid (DAA) system to adhere to aircraft right-of-way rules during BVLOS operations. The waiver means that the AiRanger is the first uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) to meet industry consensus standards for the DAA system, the company says.

RESTON, Virginia. Leidos and Elroy Air will collaborate on a demonstration of an autonomous aerial resupply vehicle for the U.S. Marine Corps called the Medium Aerial Resupply Vehicle – Expeditionary Logistics (MARV-EL) prototype, which is set for flight testing in July 2024 at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona, the companies announced in a joint statement.

NASHUA, New Hampshire. BAE Systems won a $12 million contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to enhance thermal management in electronic warfare and other radio frequency-based applications, the company announced in a statement.

NASHUA, N.H. BAE Systems signed a contract with the U.S. Navy to develop Dual Band Decoy (DBD) radio frequency (RF) countermeasures, an advanced RF self-protection jammer that shields fighter jets from enemy attacks.

WESTBOROUGH, Massachusetts. Kopin Corporation won a contract from an unidentified defense customer to develop a low-latency digital night vision system incorporating its organic light emitting diode (OLED) microdisplay technology, the company announced in a statement.

OSLO, Norway. Kongsberg, Diehl Defence, and MBDA Deutschland have entered an agreement to develop the Supersonic Strike Missile (3SM Tyrfing) aimed at enhancing long-range strike capabilities for Norway and Germany, the companies announced in a joint statement.

SAN DIEGO, California. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is collaborating with the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) to develop an Airborne Battlespace Awareness and Defense (ABAD) pod for the MQ-9A Block 5 Medium-Altitude, Long-Endurance Tactical (MALET) Extended Range Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA), the company announced in a statement.

HAIFA, Israel. Elbit Systems won a contract to supply Crossbow Unmanned Turreted 120mm Soft Recoil Mortar Systems for integration into General Dynamics European Land Systems' (GDELS) Pandur 6×6 APC wheeled armored vehicles on behalf of an unnamed European client, with the project set to span six years, Elbit announced in a statement.

LONDON.  The U.K. Ministry of Defense (MOD) signed an $18 million contract with L3Harris Technologies to supply as many as 50 medium-sized T4 explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) robots to defeat explosive threats located within confined urban spaces. 

RESTON, Va. Science and technology engineering firm Leidos won a $631 million award from the U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Grounds for work on the Army's Development, Integration, Acquisitions, Bridging to Logistics & Operations (DIABLO) sensors program.
