The U.S. Navy's Naval Undersea Warfare Center has awarded Saab the initial production order for the company's Expendable Mobile Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Target (EMATT), a small (under 25 pounds) sonobuoy-sized device programmed for various antisubmarine warfare training scenarios that can be used with naval surface ships, submarines, and aircraft.

U.S. ARMY ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND FACILITY, Md. The U.S. Army has awarded a contract worth as much as $402.5 million to TRX Systems (Greenbelt, Maryland) to deliver handheld positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) tools that enable troops to obtain information in GPS-denied environments.

REHOVOT, Israel and MEYREUIL, France. Satellite communications company SatixFy Communications and semiconductor engineering and production company Presto Engineering announced a strategic partnership under which Presto Engineering will provide SatixFy with testing and qualification of Presto's radiation-hardened (rad-hard) ASICs [application-specific integrated circuits] for deployment in space, plus automated test solution and long-term production services for SatixFy's high-speed, mixed-signal ASIC products.

AUSTIN, Texas. Defense and national-security contractor SparkCognition Government Systems (SGS) hs won a $4.2 million multiyear contract with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to deploy SGS's AI-powered readiness solution, Digital Maintenance Advisor (DMA), across additional maintenance, supply, and logistics use cases to support of the Air Force's F-16 fleet and its operators.
