Teledyne FLIR Defense (a unit of Teledyne Technologies) has won a contract worth $14 million to supply its Black Hornet 3 personal reconnaissance system (PRS) to the U.S. Army, under which the company will deliver the nano-unmanned aerial systems (UASs) to the service to augment squad and small unit-level surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities as part of the Army’s Soldier Borne Sensor (SBS) program.

PARIS. Defense and aerospace contractor Thales has received an initial order to supply U.S. Air National Guard F-16 pilots with Scorpion helmet-mounted displays (HMD), under an agreement that will subsequently make the system available to NATO forces.

ARLINGTON, Va. Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) has won a five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract to continue geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) system mission support and training for the U.S. Air Force’s Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) and Air National Guard locations around the world.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. IT provider Crown Point Systems has garnered a contract worth $33.27 million to supply the joint U.S. services with as many as 4,465 LED displays for audiovisual (AV) equipment. 

YUMA PROVING GROUND, YUMA, Ariz. Northrop Grumman and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) report that they recently jointly tested a universal messaging standard for Joint-All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) communications during the “Purple Guardian” field demonstration at Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. 

SPARKS, Nev. Sierra Nevada has won a $34 million contract modification from the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center to outfit Special Operations versions of the Lockheed Martin C-130J four-engine aircraft with mission-critical secure data communications avionics systems. 

ROME. Defense and security firm Leonardo has won a five-year contract to provide cybersecurity services for IT infrastructure and offices at eu-LISA, the European Agency for the operational management of large-scale IT systems.
