ARLINGTON, Va. Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) has won a five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract to continue geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) system mission support and training for the U.S. Air Force’s Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) and Air National Guard locations around the world.  

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. The U.S. Navy recently conducted the initial in-water test of the Orca Extra Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (XLUUV) Test Asset System off Huntington Beach, California. 

SAN DIEGO, Calif. IT provider Crown Point Systems has garnered a contract worth $33.27 million to supply the joint U.S. services with as many as 4,465 LED displays for audiovisual (AV) equipment.

SPARKS, Nev. Sierra Nevada has won a $34 million contract modification from the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center to outfit Special Operations versions of the Lockheed Martin C-130J four-engine aircraft with mission-critical secure data communications avionics systems. 

ROME. Defense and security firm Leonardo has won a five-year contract to provide cybersecurity services for IT infrastructure and offices at eu-LISA, the European Agency for the operational management of large-scale IT systems. 

SAN DIEGO, Calif. Space and unmanned-vehicle engineering firm BlueHalo has won a $4 million contract from the U.S. Army to purchase its Titan counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS).

A team led by engineers at Raytheon BBN and joined by scientists from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) will develop an artificial intelligence (AI) tool called Medical Assistance, Guidance, Instruction and Correction (MAGIC) that endeavors to assist combat field medics in 50 medical skills applied during common procedures. 

BURLINGTON, Mass. BAE Systems garnered a contract worth $24 million from the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) under which BAE Systems will develop software that autonomously configures tactical networks for mission-critical communications as part of the Mission-Integrated Network Control (MINC) program.

Rio Rancho, N.M. and South Windsor, Conn. Alta Data Technologies and Bloomy Controls have announced that the two companies joined to open Bloomy’s hardware in-the-loop (HIL) Technology Evolution Center (TEC), the world’s first customer-accessible proving ground for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) HIL test technologies using Alta’s latest MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC 429 interfaces.

McLEAN, Va. Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) has won two tactical training systems contracts with the Naval Air Warfare Center China Lake: The first is for aircrew electronic warfare (EW) tactical training, with the multiple-award, indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery (ID/IQ) accord having a total ceiling value of $249 million. 

ARLINGTON, Va. The U.S. Army recently awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for its new Combat Net Radio (CNR) modernization project to L3Harris Technologies (Rochester, New York) and Thales Defense Security (Clarksburg, Maryland).

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. Collins Aerospace has won a second low-rate production order -- valued at $24 million -- for its Tactical Combat Training System – Increment II (TCTS II) Air Combat Training System from the U.S. Navy. 

ARLINGTON, Va. CAES has won a Low Rate Initial Production Phase 1 (LRIP1) contract with Lockheed Martin to supply phased-array antennas for the Lockheed Martin Advanced Off-Board Electronic Warfare (AOEW) system it supplies to the U.S. Navy.  

MELBOURNE, Fla. L3Harris Technologies has signed a contract worth a potential $593 million that calls for the company to develop passive sensor technology for the U.S. Navy’s shipboard surveillance, detection, and cueing capabilities.

FORT WORTH, Texas. Military rotorcraft maker Bell Textron has signed a teaming agreement with Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) that will add SNC to the Bell Textron team that is working on the Bell 360 Invictus competitive prototype as part of the U.S. Army’s Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program.
